tips on how to sing happy birthday

According to Tricks of the Trade:

People often get into trouble singing Happy Birthday because they don’t know what key to sing it in, and often start too high. It helps to remember that the first note in Happy Birthday is the lowest note in the song.

At work, we’ve also found the other key to singing Happy Birthday — sing it fast.

Too often, the song becomes the longest, most mournful dirge imaginable.

Instead, start the group off with a brisk “1-2-3″ and just bop through the song lightly and quick. You’ll be amazed at how much better it sounds.

And for those people that don’t like singing, it’s over that much faster!

OK… there seems to be a problem with Bloglines reading the Atom feed of this site. (It seems to be an issue with some Wordpress sites.)

If you do wish to subscribe to this site on Bloglines, I recommend using the RSS feed — specifically, the Subscribe to Bloglines button — Subscribe with Bloglines — will do the trick.
