My favourite superhero movie is Batman Begins -- in my opinion, it took liberties but stayed closest by far to the true spirit of the character and his world. (And the uber-fans are ALWAYS going to go crazy over something. It was like the Cole's Notes of Harry Potter movies. (In my mind, only one of the HP movies really hit the mark -- HPATPOA.) And I don't know why the movie cost so much because the effects looked CHEAP.
