Right, things have really gone crazy while I wasn't looking. Let's see if we can update things here.

Ramzi is now at minus 9,999,997 Flapillion.

Suldog was doing well mentioning cookies and cats, but then he dared to
suggest that my cats would even TOUCH my cookies, so he received a yellow card.

Cindy gets 2 points for commenting on topic plus the coveted HEY LOOK I DELURKED medal.

g-dog has an AMAZING SCORE of 31, what with three whole geek bombs and 5 separate cookie references and a burgeoning mail order cookie empire. Go g-dog!

RJ has shot off wildly into a score of nullity, but is obviously having a fabulous time, so we all wish him well.

Birchsprite just wants cookies, so that's cool.

And Kym is perilously close to breaking a cardinal rule of SPOILING BSG FOR ME... but I quickly skipped over the details and have rammed a sharpened stick into my ear to eliminate all references that may stick around.

So. Where were we?

Oh yeah. Cookies rule.

I'll toss in another, so I can get out of second-to-last place. I'd didn't actually add up the points, but I'm guessing that's where I am now.

Same episode of Battlestar Galactica. It looks like the Galactica's rescue of all the people off of New Caprica is going to fail. Adama is ready to throw in the towel, and in comes the Pegasus, ramming into one of the Cylon basestars, breaking up into pieces. The broken ships end up taking out two of the three other basestars.

That episode was just so full of awesomeness. It's the best bit of television I've seen this season, if not ever. It could only have been better if there were cookies involved. Maybe Lee ate them all.

well, ms_sprite - love to send you cookies, at least the ones that travel well, which leaves out the lemon bars (too squishy). would postage cost more than the cookies?

mmm, I thought it was bullsh*t, but OK.
I am a cookie-aholic too, so all putative sucking up aside, I will be making all of those to gift to others.

And, as a member of the corporate world (and formerly academia), never underestimate the value of sucking up!

I'll share any of rthe recipes with anyone interested.

*cough*suck-up *cough*

Although yes, all the MIB bits were most definitely geek bomb.

Aside to g-dog - I am kidding of course. And thanks for providing yet another novel opportunity for mocking on my part.

how about when Indiana Jones is mano a mano with the swordsman with mad numchuck-like skills - and then Indy calmly pulls out the gun & shoots him??
Or on STNG in one of the few episodes that had a plot true to the old ST when #1 (who was/willbe such a #2) is visiting the council that has been taken over by aliens and he "PSYCHE!" totally punks them by pretending to be taken over too?
Or in MIB when they rush to the newstand to find out why all the aliens are fleeing - WS assumes the guy that looks like the guy in Rocky Horror Picture Show is the alien (sub-geekbomb 'oh no, not Meatloaf again') - BUT NO - it is the cute little pug? Or when Will Smith squashes a roach under his shoe and says "Oh, was that your autie?"
Now I must [lan out my Christmas cookies - chocolate-peppermint pinwheel cookies, orange-ginger crackle cookies, sugar cookies, lemon bar cookies (the ones with a shortbread bottom and a lemon curd/custard gooey top), mexican wedding cakes - mmmm, love the cookies! got to make caramel corn & fudge too!
