Yes, the two boys definitely have different voices that convey their very different personalities and -- I hate to admit it -- intelligence levels.

The Large One is a soooooooooper genius.

The Small One... well, he's pretty.

hey - but I thought YOU were speaking for the cats - and a similar reason would just be a TMI moment. I thought what suldog meant was, "Sween, as you are channeling the small one (or the large one), is a different voice or other vocal quality used to convey their message to your wife?" Obvious benefit, the voice character automatically conveys who is being spoken for, vs. you have to say "The small one wants the litter box cleaned" or "the large one says 'feed me -- now'".... Just one other interpretation.

Diva Dee: Hey, by all means. Review away. My psyche should be strong enough to handle it. (*shiver*)

Alison & g-dog: Ours don't swear. But the Large One is extraordinarily manipulative. (Yes -- regarding food.) He is especially prone to the tactic of -- if one of us got home before the other one -- pretending that he hasn't been fed in days and the other parent was viciously lax and he needs to be fed now or his life will end by the time he counts down from 10-9-8-7...

RJ: No. They've been neutered. No change.

Swearing cats - ooh, I like that idea. They may not be able to talk, as we would interpret that term literally, but the certainly might TRY to talk, and definitely manage to communicate what they want regarding all important matters (= food)

We talk to our dogs all the time - we actually get responses we interpret as relevant, the sly turn of the head, running to the back door, running to the food bowl, a bark....

I used to make people laugh by doing voices of my cats. The cats swore horribly, the nasty things. Terrible manners.
