verbiage: the first salvo

It’s Saturday morning.

It’s a long weekend.

I have had no coffee.

Allow me to repeat that. Slowly.

No.

Coffee.

My eyes are a veritable smorgasboard of delicious and nutritious eye boogers.

The kitty litter has hit the overload level on the poopmeter.

And there is something that is just plain itchy on my belly and I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS.

AND YET…

Here I am.

The Month of Verbiage has begun.

[The sun breaks through the clouds. The music swells. Woodland creatures bring me coffee and an assortment of scones and danishes. All is right with the world.]

Please excuse me as I get myself back up to speed.

[Aside.] Actually, can I have a blueberry AND a cherry?…
