my secret halloween wish

Is it bad that I’m secretly hoping that we get very few trick-or-treaters tonight?

‘Cause it means more candy for me.

[A sudden smell permeates the room. That smell is shame.]

I too have that wish but mostly because I get tired of running to the door and cooing over cute costumes in my mangled French.

    What you’re thinking is horrible.

You are your own Hallowe’en costume.

Halloween would be a really cool time to be a dwarf. You could go out and get all the candy you wanted and nobody would ever have to be any the wiser concerning your inapropriate age.

    (*sniff*)

Oh! So THAT’S what shame smells like!

There’s no shame in that. Or at least, I’m not ashamed of hoping the same thing.

And I got my wish. :)

I always buy loads of candy and then at the last minute remember how much I hate answering the door to trick-or-treaters so I turn all the lights off and cower in the bathroom with my laptop.

Needless to say, there’s a LOT of candy left over here.

I’ll probably just throw it away….

make with the yak-yak
