cat-like readiness

The remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm/Really Pissy Mood Noel are sweeping through town right now.

Me and the Large One are on blackout watch. In the event that we lose power, my duties consist of leaping into action to get our generator running to keep the sump pump running or else we are going to employ a whole lot more dog-paddling than is proper when doing laundry tomorrow.

The Large One’s duties consist of keeping me warm.

I do have to say, I don’t know if this is what most people have in mind when they use the phrase “a state of cat-like readiness”:

Awwww. Large One wuvs you sooo much! He is so handsome too. We had a big gorgeous tabby boy whom we lost about 9 years ago. We miss his cuddlyness still. Love the pic Sween.

You don’t look “ready”. I’m assuming your basement is flooded.

  3. Suldog Says:

Does he double as a flotation device?

Just thought I’d mention something I’ve noticed several times before — your blog has the best commenters of all the blogs I’ve seen. Bar none.

There should be some kind of blog commenter competition so that you could post your award in the sidebar.

(Sometimes I want to comment, but then I think I’d be lowering the tone. Very intimidating.)

Oops. No more comments. Did I make everyone self-conscious?

    Cool.
